Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites and applications provided by Polygon Labs (“we,” “us”), including Simple Scheduler and Simple Time Clock and their staff-facing apps (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Services
Simple Time Clock lets businesses record employee clock in/out times and view hours and pay reports. Simple Scheduler lets businesses build staff schedules, manage shifts, availability, time off, and tips, and gives employees a mobile app to view their schedule, pick up or swap shifts, request time off, and clock in. The Services are recordkeeping and management aids — not payroll, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password and admin passcode secure. Notify us of any unauthorized use.
3. Subscriptions, trials & billing
- We offer clock-only plans and bundle plans (which include both Simple Time Clock and Simple Scheduler), in tiers based on your number of employees. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and renew automatically until cancelled.
- New accounts may include a free trial. If you don’t subscribe, access ends when the trial ends.
- You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes where applicable. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods.
- Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to those stores’ terms and are managed through your store account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including: violating any law; infringing others’ rights; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services; or using them to store or transmit unlawful content.
5. Your data & responsibilities
You own the data you enter. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of schedules and time records and for complying with all applicable employment, wage-and-hour, scheduling, and privacy laws, including informing your employees and obtaining any required consents. You must independently verify hours and pay before using them for payroll.
If you enable optional features such as location-based (geofenced) clock-in, you are responsible for notifying your employees and obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction. Employees who use the staff app are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but the Services are provided on an “as available” basis and may be interrupted for maintenance or factors beyond our control.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free or that calculations are suitable for payroll or legal compliance. You are responsible for verifying all results.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polygon Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Services.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Polygon Labs operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
